Bert Kreischer Grateful After Bus Fire
Bert Kreischer took a moment to reflect on his good fortune after narrowly escaping a potentially serious situation.
The comedian expressed gratitude on Sunday, sharing that he was safe following a fire that erupted on his tour bus in the Midwest the previous night.
Kreischer, 53, reassured followers that his team was unharmed, mentioning on social media that “God works in mysterious ways.”
“Here’s the rundown on the bus situation,” Kreischer told fans on Monday while posting a series of images depicting the burned bus.
Just an hour after departing from Fargo, North Dakota, the front right tire blew out, completely detaching from the rim.
“Two bus drivers said they had never witnessed anything like this in their three-and-a-half decades,” he shared. “We waited for hours and eventually had to leave the bus and take a crew bus to Cedar Rapids. That morning, our bus caught fire.”
Kreischer, who recently appeared in the new season of the Netflix series “Free Bart,” shared photos of the charred bus on Instagram.
“Everyone is safe. Dewey, our bus driver, pulled out on time,” Kreischer detailed. “He said there was a fire, and literally 15 seconds later, the front passenger area was engulfed in flames.”
“Here’s an important takeaway: If we had been sleeping on that bus, we would have all been trapped in the back. We could have died yesterday or even the day before.”
“So, it turned out to be a blessing to have that flat tire. Really, it was a blessing. Regardless of how frustrating today might be, remember that everything is a blessing. God works in mysterious ways.”
While no one was injured, Kreischer and his team lost all their belongings on the bus and had to purchase new clothes.
