Bert Kreischer seems to be a man of many talents.
As the launch of the Netflix Cup in Las Vegas aired on Tuesday, the comedian was seen running to the front lines to stop a female protester from disrupting the event.
The protesters appeared to be carrying placards urging F1 to sever ties with the Iditarod dog sled race.
As Kreischer, 51, grabbed the woman, she yelled about “over 150 dogs” and the camera quickly cut away before viewers could see a resolution.
The Netflix Cup is a series of events featuring golfers and F1 drivers ahead of this weekend’s F1 race in Las Vegas.
Netflix aired reality series “Drive to Survive” and “Full Swing” featuring competitors from both sports.
Tuesday will feature the golf portion of Netflix Cup.
An explainer on the Netflix website said, “The game will be played in a scramble format, with each player from each team hitting the tee at the same time.”
“The team then develops a strategy to select the best ball for the next shot.”
The event will feature pairs such as golfers Colin Morikawa and Pierre Gasly, Justin Thomas and Carlos Sainz, Max Homa and Alex Albon, and Rickie Fowler and Lando Norris.
Mr. Kreischer plays the equivalent of a reporter on the sidelines of the event.
Other commentators at the event include Kay Adams and Marshawn Lynch.
