Comedian D.L. Hughley has slammed actor George Clooney for speaking out against President Joe Biden and calling on the commander in chief to step aside and allow another candidate to win the Democratic presidential nomination.
Hughley said Clooney’s calls for Biden to step down were “insulting.” Said Clooney and other Biden opponents aren’t seeing the bigger picture, TMZ reported.
The stand-up comedian and TV host also slammed the media for not doing enough to attack Donald Trump, despite calls from Clooney and others for a new Democratic presidential nomination.
Oddly, DL argued that claims that Biden is weakening and Trump is surging in the polls are “not true.” Despite the reality that Biden is plummeting in the polls, the comedian claimed that the polls haven’t moved at all and are saying Biden is as strong as ever.
Hughley also made a series of false statements, claiming that Donald Trump would abolish education, eliminate “Social Security” and take away women’s right to health care, and argued that Biden should be re-elected.
The comedian played the racism card against Clooney, Ocean’s Thirteen Clooney’s sudden anti-Biden perspective is that of a privileged white male, and he fails to understand that black rights are at stake in this election.
Furey also said he was tired of the debates about Biden’s age, mental ability and qualifications because, ultimately, the debate for Democrats is not about who leads the nomination, but how to win, adding that Vice President Kamala Harris is perfectly qualified to run for president and is already ready for the position.
In his view, Democrats have become “timid” and are wasting their time “struggling” to make the argument for replacing Biden, and should instead focus all their efforts on defeating Trump.
He ended his rant by saying that if Republicans can “vote for convicted criminals,” he should be OK with voting for “corpses” and “gravekeepers.”
