“It's just incredible to me that we're at a point where if you're on the left and you don't criticize your party, how much do you care about your own party? You know what I mean? It's like, 'What's going on?' The left side – I had to say it finally broke,” she said.

Mr Cummings went on to characterize his previous support for the left as “Stockholm Syndrome”. She added her recognition that “if you love your party, you have to be able to criticize it, right? And I don't really take sides.”

The cartoon then satirizes the hypocrisy of liberals, saying, “'My body, my choice, but you have to take this vaccine,' 'My body, my choice, pro-choice, but you. 'I have no choice.' '”

Cummings' comments are the latest in which she mocked the liberal media, President Biden and the Democratic Party's response to the 2024 election while speaking to hosts Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper on CNN's live New Year's Eve special. This was sparked by the harsh criticism of liberal critics.

She trashed the network hosting her on air, joking that the 3,000 audience that frequented her stand-up shows was the same as CNN's viewership.

Cummings stressed on his podcast that his motivation was not to dunk on the left side or score political points, but to criticize obvious hypocrisy. She added, “So for me, I didn't think I was being political. I thought I was just pointing out hypocrisy across the board.” added.

In response to a specific complaint that she didn't go after Trump in his New Year's Eve monologue, she said, “I mean, it's sneaky to do that. Everyone does that, and you put it on CNN.
