Comedian Theo Von Surprises U.S. Soldiers in Qatar Before Trump Speech

This past weekend, comedian Theo Fong made a surprise visit to soldiers stationed at Al Udeid Air Force Base in Qatar, just before President Donald Trump’s speech.

Footage shared on social media captures Fong interacting with the soldiers, shaking hands and snapping selfies ahead of the president’s appearance.

At one point, Fong took the stage for a comedy bit, humorously remarking, “I didn’t know I was coming here. I promise you, this will definitely be ordered by the court.” He continued, “They said, ‘Hey, do you want to go to the Middle East?’ and I thought, ‘What do you mean?'”

He joked further, saying, “If you’re bringing me over there to help with peace, things aren’t looking good. I’m from TMZ—currently involved in a bar brawl in Nashville.” He reiterated, “So yeah, I’m here to talk about peace in the Middle East.”

As he engaged with the audience, Fong mused, “I’ve never actually seen most of you guys walk over me.” He added with a laugh, “Yeah, don’t film; I don’t even know whose team we are.” The crowd responded with laughter.

In another light moment, he asked, “How many of you could find aspects of this base? It’s like a big clue game.” Expressing his happiness to be there, he mentioned, “I was just in New York when I got the call. People in New York can be quite rude. I said ‘Hello’ to someone, and they just said ‘No.'” He ended with a lighthearted note about checking it out.

Later, President Trump took the stage, thanking his son, Baron, for bringing Fong to the event.

There was also mention of a recent incident involving Fong in Nashville, where he was caught on camera in a confrontation at a bar. Reports indicate that he had been provoked by a group that was harassing him, though the local police noted they wouldn’t take further action on the matter.
