Commanders' Marcus Mariota takes down Dan Quinn

Quinn Injured Mid-Game as Commanders Defeat Raiders

During a recent game, Washington Commanders’ coach Dan Quinn found himself unexpectedly involved in the action, getting knocked down as his team celebrated a victory over the Las Vegas Raiders.

In a key moment before halftime, quarterback Marcus Mariota, who was filling in for the injured Jaden Daniels, attempted to evade a tackle and inadvertently collided with Quinn, who was trying to help halt the play’s momentum. The impact caused Quinn to hit the ground, and notably, the broadcast indicated he suffered a bloody nose.

“I’m fine, everything’s good. It’s going to be one of those days… just a physical game,” he said afterward, brushing off the incident.

Despite the chaos, the Commanders managed to secure a field goal before heading into halftime with a 20-10 lead. They ultimately won the game 41-24.

Mariota, who hadn’t started since 2022 while with the Falcons, had a strong showing, completing 21 passes for 207 yards and throwing one touchdown. He also added 40 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown to his tally.

Additionally, Jaylin Lane wowed fans with a spectacular 95-yard punt return for a touchdown, energizing the crowd significantly.

On the other side of the field, Raiders quarterback Geno Smith threw for 289 yards and connected on three touchdown passes, with Tre Tucker being a standout receiver, catching all three touchdowns while amassing 145 yards from eight receptions. Yet, despite his efforts, the Raiders fell to a disappointing 1-2 record.

With this win, Washington improved to 2-1 in the season.
