It is hard to imagine a newspaper publishing such a glowing tribute to a far-right movement, especially one that has long been associated with anti-Semitism and violence.
but, Gloves Adopting an idealistic tone:
For many students, the pro-Palestinian spring camp was a kind of utopia: a warm, caring environment where participants contributed what they could to sustain their community through libraries, food, medical assistance, arts, music, education and other support. Several students said attending the camp was a life-changing experience.
“It was like a blueprint. [or] “We’re drawing a map for a better society,” said Owen Buxton, a student who was arrested twice at pro-Palestinian protests this spring semester. Near Emerson College“I was so moved that it felt like living outside of this capitalist, white supremacist patriarchy might actually be possible in my lifetime.”

In Northampton, about 20 graduate students and local residents split into small groups to discuss the week’s readings, the shortcomings of capitalism, and debate the benefits and pitfalls of social media. At one point, two older adults joined in, praising the students’ efforts.
The article barely mentions anti-Semitism, saying only that “allegations of anti-Semitism and the use of controversial slogans” limit the appeal of the pro-Palestinian movement.
of Gloves He noted it’s unclear whether the pro-Palestinian “encampments” that sprung up across the country in the spring will continue into the fall. Vice President Kamala Harris, now the Democratic presidential nominee, has praised the “sentiment,” if not the rhetoric, behind the movement.
