Bratowurst was sent to stores in Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.

FSIS said the issue was discovered after warning the agency that Johnsonville had received two complaints from consumers, and reported that hard plastic material had been found in Bratwurst.
Although there were no reports of any confirmed injuries caused by eating Bratwursts at the time of Recall, anyone concerned that FSI will contact a health care provider is encouraged.

FSIS advised that anyone who owns a recalled product should return it to the place of purchase for a refund or refund or exchange.
