Federal Inspector It announced that around 22,672 pounds of Johnsonville Cheddar Blatourst has been shipped to 10 states after the hard plastic was reportedly discovered by consumers in the product.
Based in Momans, Illinois, Johnsonville produced meat on February 5, 2025, according to the US Department of Agriculture Food Safety Inspection Services (FSIS).
Specifically, a 19-ounce sealed tray package containing five Johnsonville Bacon Cheddar Brat Worsts with the package code “b9fod” has been recalled. Each recalled product label has the establishment number “Est. 1647”.

Bratowurst was sent to stores in Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.

FSIS said the issue was discovered after warning the agency that Johnsonville had received two complaints from consumers, and reported that hard plastic material had been found in Bratwurst.
Although there were no reports of any confirmed injuries caused by eating Bratwursts at the time of Recall, anyone concerned that FSI will contact a health care provider is encouraged.

FSIS advised that anyone who owns a recalled product should return it to the place of purchase for a refund or refund or exchange.
