Sam’s Club is rolling out “hot baked pizza” delivery to its members as part of a new service. This initiative comes in response to requests from their customers.
A spokesperson for Sam’s Club shared that since the introduction of this service in late May, the response has been quite positive. They noted, “Early performance exceeded our expectations, showing strong demand and high repeat orders from members who value affordable, quality meals.”
Currently, members can choose from pepperoni, cheese, or a four-meat pizza variety for delivery.
The retailer boasts that they can deliver a 16-inch pizza to members in just three hours. They described it as ideal for family dinners, game-day gatherings, and other occasions.
At a price of $8.98, Sam’s Club claims it’s hard to find a better deal for a meal. They also recommend pairing the pizza with sides like salads and drinks, as well as bakery items.
Additionally, the delivery service is complimentary for Plus Members on orders exceeding $50, while Club Members benefit from free delivery on purchases over $12. For those looking for a faster option, Express Delivery is available for an extra $8.
Sam’s Club has long been recognized for its grocery technology, offering features like “scan and go” that allow members to bypass traditional checkout lines.
In a recent update, they’ve also introduced AI-based checks called “Just Go,” which streamline the shopping experience by validating items upon exit, removing the need for receipt checks at the door.
Kurt Hess, the group’s operations director, emphasized that their innovations are geared towards making life easier for members. He sees the pizza delivery service as a perfect blend of value, convenience, and a favorite food that aligns well with modern shopping trends.
