Conor Benn Joins Zuffa Boxing After Recent Victory
Las Vegas – During WrestleMania week, Conor Benn’s boxing career made headlines again.
Benn has signed a multi-fight agreement with Zuffa Boxing, shortly after competing against Regis Prograis on Netflix. This match was part of the co-main event, featuring Tyson Fury. Benn clinched the win over Prograis by unanimous decision, marking an impressive record of 24 wins and just one loss.
He mentioned that UFC President Dana White and WWE President Nick Khan influenced his decision to team up with Zuffa Boxing. Notably, both UFC and WWE are under TKO Group Holdings, which also includes Zuffa Boxing.
“What Dana White has accomplished in the UFC, and what Nick Khan has done with WWE, is just extraordinary,” he expressed. “I’m excited to be part of this journey and ready to prove myself.”
Benn is positioned as the mandatory challenger for Ryan Garcia’s WBC welterweight title, and there’s buzz that their fight might take place in the summer.
“Ultimately, the goal is to give fans an unforgettable fight night, and I believe we can achieve that,” he shared.
Fans should brace themselves for Benn’s ascent in boxing, as he’s adamant about providing value for ticket buyers. “Conor Benn is all about excitement, and I want to deliver that,” he stated.
His only defeat was to Chris Eubank Jr. last April, but he managed to get back at Eubank with a unanimous decision victory later in November.
Benn has secured 14 knockouts so far and is definitely on the lookout for more opportunities ahead.
