Fox News Welcomes Brett Cooper as Contributor
Fox News announced on Wednesday that it has brought conservative influencer Brett Cooper on board as a contributor. This comes just a few months after she left Daily Wire, and her first appearance is set for Wednesday’s “Wilcaine Show.”
In her new role, Cooper will provide cultural, social, and political commentary across the network. The 23-year-old previously hosted “Comments Section,” a podcast at Daily Wire, from January 2022 until December 2024. While she reassured her audience that her departure wasn’t due to being fired, she did announce her exit from Daily Wire in December 2024.
Since leaving, Cooper has maintained a personal YouTube channel, which boasts around 1.58 million subscribers. On this platform, she discusses politics and pop culture, often sharing insights from her generational perspective. In January 2025, she also launched her own podcast, “The Brett Cooper Show,” where she explores various topics.

Fox News has been actively hiring younger influencers, including former student-athletes like Riley Gaines and Tomi Lahren, aiming to engage a demographic largely absent from cable news. Currently, the average age of Fox News viewers is 69, with MSNBC and CNN averaging 70 and 67, respectively, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.
According to a source, Cooper was likely brought on board to attract younger audiences. Fox News has been performing well in terms of viewership, averaging around 3.012 billion in primetime and 1.9 million during the day, surpassing its competitors like CNN and MSNBC.
Cooper, who graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), has nearly a decade of experience in the entertainment field. Prior to her role at Daily Wire, she contributed to the Economic Education Foundation and was an ambassador for Turning Point USA and Pragel.
