PragerU founder and conservative talk show host Dennis Prager is taking a leave of absence from his widely broadcast radio show after a fall left him with severe back injuries that required hospitalization.

PragerU announced Wednesday that he suffered a serious hip injury in a fall on Tuesday and was taken to a hospital near Los Angeles.
PragerU, a conservative online platform he co-founded in 2011, used its social media platforms to examine the incident, post updates and ask followers for prayers.
“Dennis Prager suffered a serious back injury in a fall and is resting at a local hospital in Los Angeles while doctors evaluate treatment options,” the platform said in a statement.
