Conservative Dating Alternatives on the Rise
There’s a growing sentiment among young women that perhaps they deserve more space, especially when it comes to dating. Some assert that men should feel comfortable in their locker rooms, yet many Republicans seem intent on limiting certain rights.
In major cities, it appears countless conservatives are actively seeking alternatives to dating experiences that they feel promote liberal ideologies, like enforced gender identity discussions on platforms such as Tinder.
As one co-founder noted, the online dating landscape is changing with the introduction of apps like Date Right Stuff. This conservative alternative to traditional dating has garnered significant attention, reportedly amassing around 400,000 downloads since its 2022 launch.
Following President Trump’s reelection, the app saw a notable increase in downloads, illustrating a shift towards conservative values in dating, according to its co-founder Dan Huff. He mentioned that this surge in users has allowed conservatives to create a supportive community.
Huff described a recent event in New York aimed at conservatives, which attracted hundreds of participants. The intent was clear: to show conservatives that they aren’t isolated in predominantly liberal areas.
In another effort to promote traditional dating, female entrepreneurs are hosting events that proudly claim that conservatives tend to stand out in a crowd, sometimes capitalizing on a lighthearted approach to what they consider traditional aesthetics.
Raquel Debono, who has spearheaded these gatherings, emphasizes the importance of face-to-face interactions. “This is the most traditional and truly human way to connect,” she remarked. She’s shifted her focus from merely promoting the app to organizing her own events. DeBono believes dating apps have created a transactional environment that lacks true connection.
Recently, she hosted an event in NYC that attracted considerable attention, featuring notable influencers and conservative figures. DeBono’s playful slogan about making “America hot” reflects her effort to blend fun with her values – a sentiment many attendees seemed to resonate with.
During these gatherings, the goal is to not only connect but to openly embrace a conservative lifestyle, contrasting it with liberal ideologies. While some might see these events as mere marketing, others view them as genuine opportunities for connection. “Looking good is not a crime,” remarked Justin Brook Murray, a former beauty queen, when discussing the potential pitfalls of conservative-themed meetups.
Murray highlighted how traditional mixers are sometimes dismissed as outdated, yet they offer real chances for individuals to make connections outside of digital spaces—an essential part of modern dating that is often overlooked.
As the conservative community challenges the mainstream dating narrative, it remains to be seen how these new avenues will evolve. Their mission to redefine dating and foster real connections is just beginning.
