‘Constitutional Crisis’ for Lower Court Judges to Try to Tie Up Trump

On his appearance on CNN on Thursday, network contributor Scott Jennings warned of the potential consequences of U.S. District Court judges using the law to “connect” President Donald Trump.

Jennings said the phenomenon could lead to a “constitutional crisis.”

“The president said he would follow the Supreme Court decision,” he said. “He’s always said about all of these cases. They may have a disagreement about the rendering of a particular decision and how to handle and implement a particular decision, but the president always says he’ll follow the decision. In my opinion, it’s clear that these individual district court judges are trying to tie up Donald Trump.

“It’s like the first time Democrats did,” Jennings continued. “They don’t want him to govern. Now, the Supreme Court, as you pointed out in the vote, people have a lot of respect for it, so is President Trump. So, if he’s allowed to run, if he’s allowed to continue, if he’s allowed to serve as a fine, if he’s allowed to serve as a fine, if he’s allowed to serve as a fine, he’s allowed to do that. Is he bumped into a wall of resistance with some of these individual U.S. District Court judges? Do you think Congress needs to be honest and intervened, or because the Supreme Court is not right, I think they need to step in and what they’re doing with this presidency.”
