Bad Press, which surrounds “Snow White,” did not improve this weekend as live-action Disney Classics opened at an inactive box office offer.
According to studio estimates, Snow White has opened for $43 million ticket sales in the US and Canada. The Los Angeles Times reported. It costs an estimated $250 million. The film sold $44 million overseas and earned its global debut of $87 million.
Comparing with other recent live-action Disney adaptations, 2019's “The Lion King” made $191 million over the domestic weekend, while 2017's “Beauty and the Beast” made $174 million over the first weekend in theaters. Forbes reported.
Five controversy that rocked Disney's Snow White remake before its release
Critics were not kind to the live-action release of “Snow White.” The film currently has a rotten tomato score of 44%. In other words, the majority of the reviews were negative.

Some of the film's controversy comes from its star, Rachel Zegler. Fans denounced the actress for a now infamous red carpet interview that denounced the plot of the original 1937 “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”
“I mean, I know that the original comic came out in 1937. It's very obviously so. There's a big focus on her love story with the guy who literally creeps her up.
Critics slam Snow White as an orbital film into the lowest Disney live-action remake in history
Zegler also ranked fans when he posted a profan political post that wanted violence to supporters of President Donald Trump.
“Trump supporters, Trump voters and Trump herself may never know peace,” the actress added “f —Donald Trump” after Trump's 2024 victory.
She later apologised for her comments.
Other controversies included Zegler's anti-Israel defense, as opposed to the way the film chose to portray the seven dwarves on screen, and his Israeli-born co-star Gal Gadot.

The hits against “Snow White” continued to come this weekend as critics distorted the film's “strange” advancements and “hard” performances.
“HM? What is that? This Snow White is not a TV-made film in Burbank, but instead it's a theatrically released feature film that costs over $250 million. Ah.
The reboot star of “Snow White” who knocked on the 1937 film “Thanks” to critics: “I make you feel like Teflon”
“Perhaps one reason why we bring actors to animated classic remakes is to add warm-blooded pulses to these characters. Zeggler manages that, but “Snow White” – as hard as anyone else in the mortar or CGI can,” The Associated Press said of the film.

Meanwhile, the Huffington Post calls it “a strange, hot mess.”
