It was a big interception for Texas.
That wasn't the case.
Then, after several minutes of confusion, confusion, and the umpires, Texas made the interception.
With the Longhorns trailing by multiple points in the third quarter against Georgia, Jahde Barron intercepted a pass from Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck for the second time in the game and ran it for 33 yards. He returned the ball at the end and set up Texas deep in the enemy's territory.
Despite this, officials claimed pass interference on defense and denied the Longhorns' big play.
Play was then halted because a Texas fan who was near one of the end zones began throwing objects (mainly water bottles) onto the field, leading head coach Steve Sarkisian to ask fans to stop their actions. .
At that point, officials met and determined that there was in fact no pass interference and that Texas did in fact have possession of the ball.
Two plays later, Texas scored a touchdown on a pass from Quinn Ewers, who was briefly benched for Arch Manning.
But Georgia fought back with a fourth-quarter touchdown and went up 15 points early in the final frame of regulation.
