Cooper Manning will keep that true when it comes to expectations for Texas son Arch next season.
Arch Manning is expected to take over the start quarterback work for coach Steve Salkisian and the Longhorns next season after sitting behind the two-year Quin Awers who declared the 2025 NFL Draft.
Cooper, who failed to rise to NFL levels for his siblings Payton and Eli due to a diagnosis of spinal stenosis before college, has felt that for most of the past two seasons it will be beneficial for his son in the long run.
He also spoke about preparing for the struggles and challenges that come to the Arch Path while appearing on The Dan Patrick Show.
“I think it's good that your child struggles with some things. Yes, it's frustrating not to play. Did he love it? No. In the long run, perhaps for him. Was it a good thing? Yes, Cooper Manning said, “You don't want your kids to go home and be unhappy, but at the same time, you struggle a little from time to time, and some of the roads. The collision is good. The Arch has a lot more of them. When you beat this year and have a bad game, these are real.”
Archmanning gained some important experience last season as Texas lost to the final national champion Ohio State in the college football playoff semi-finals.
He played in 10 games, won both starts, completing 61 of 90 passes for 939 yards, nine touchdowns and two interceptions.
Cooper Manning knows the spotlight, and expectations will only increase this season.
“I mean, you know how they're doing that in the media. They crown you too quickly, and then they jump on and kill YA,” Cooper Manning said. “So he's got too much attention and too much credit, and he's going to struggle and they say, 'He's not that good, he's overrated!” It's coming, everyone knows it. ”
Arch Manning, who recently signed a deal with Red Bull, has seemed to handle it all well so far, and to admit it. Interview with ESPN Last week he received “unjust warning” for his last name.
“I don't think I'm doing enough to take lots of photos at the restaurant and sign the sign,” Arch Manning said. “But maybe it'll come in the end.”
