Cop on horseback hunts down shoplifter across New Mexico street in only one minute: video

A thief attempts to outrun a New Mexico mounted police officer, but quickly realizes he lacks horsepower.

Seductive body camera video show That’s when an Albuquerque police officer and his horse sprang into action when they saw the man running the finger run out of a Walgreens store.

The suspect allegedly stuffed $230 worth of merchandise into his pockets and fled.

The duo caught up to the man dressed all in black in just a few seconds.

“Go get him, get him!” Many onlookers cheered and responded with a resounding “Yes!” When the officer asked if the man had stolen from the store;

Officers on horseback repeatedly attempted to stop the suspect as he fled across the parking lot.

But even as desperate runners took the lead on the three-lane road, the dark-haired beauty continued to run with enthusiasm.

“It wasn’t me!” the man yelled, amidst a flurry of unintelligible words.

At one point, the suspect appeared to be exhausted. Instead of running, he tried to trot away from the Bronco.

He was eventually forced to give up when two other mounted police officers and their stunning furry partners cornered him on the pavement.

One of the officers dismounted and handcuffed the man, later identified as 30-year-old Mark Chacon.

The entire chase lasted approximately 1 minute.

He was charged with shoplifting, fleeing police on foot and drug possession.
