Cori Broadus, daughter of Snoop Dogg, shared the heartbreaking news of her infant daughter Kodi’s passing just ten months after the baby was born prematurely in February 2025.
In an emotional message on her Instagram Story Saturday, she wrote, “On Monday I lost the love of my life. My Cody,” alongside a poignant black-and-white image of herself holding Kodi in a hospital setting. An angel wings emoji accompanied her announcement.
Kori’s fiancé, Wayne Duce, echoed his sorrow on social media, saying, “My daughter will also be sad this weekend.” He shared a photo of himself with Kodi, expressing, “I’m the saddest since you broke up with Kody Draw. But I know you’re safe. Daddy will always love you. My baby.”
Broadus, 26, had previously announced on January 6 that she could finally take her baby home after a long 10-month stay in the NICU. “She’s home. 🤍,” she had posted, thanking everyone for their prayers and love, stating, “God heard them all. 🕊️✨.”
In a later post, she mentioned, “20 days later? Oh my god, I’m sick,” reflecting on the ups and downs of those weeks. Cori had first shared news about her daughter’s birth in a heartfelt post last year.
Previously, she had expressed her anxieties during her difficult pregnancy, sharing that Kodi was born at just six months. “I’ve cried and cried,” Broadus admitted, noting her feelings of inadequacy. Despite this, she remained grateful, saying, “Thank you God for bringing us this far.” She mentioned her baby was delivered via C-section, which went successfully.
After Kodi’s passing, many of Cori’s followers expressed their condolences and support in the comments. One person wrote, “Condolences to the family 😢,” and another commented, “She was so adorable,” while a third shared, “My heart was instantly broken.”
