On a night filled with Tacko Fall’s impressive dunks, mascots trying to play defense, and MVPs from both the NBA and MLB seated courtside, it was a boy band that really captured everyone’s attention at the Kia Forum on Friday.
The cheers for the group, Courtis, were relentless during the Raffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game in Inglewood, particularly when they hit the stage to perform two songs at halftime.
The vibe was electric as the five members called out “GO!” Their captivating performance, complete with outstanding vocals and dance routines, even made All-Star coach Giannis Antetokounmpo pause and watch alongside his family.
During the second half, Cortiz was seen wandering among the courtside seats. At one point, the emcee engaged the crowd, leading everyone in a rendition of “Happy Birthday” for someone named Keno.
The excitement continued as fans erupted when the group exited the arena in the fourth quarter.
This wasn’t the first time Courtis amazed audiences in Los Angeles. They had performed at the NBA Crossover Fan Festival the previous night and later enjoyed VIP privileges at the Lakers-Mavericks game.
Before Friday’s game, Mookie Betts, another notable figure in the celebrity event, extended an invitation for them to visit Dodger Stadium this season.
But Courtis wasn’t the only star in attendance; many well-known faces like Guy Fieri, Victor Wembanyama, Devin Booker, 2 Chainz, and Dwight Howard were also there to watch the event unfold.
Ultimately, Team Giannis triumphed over Team Anthony, which was coached by comedian Anthony Anderson, with a score of 65-58. Actor Rome Flynn took home the MVP award for the second consecutive year.
Yet, for those present, it was clear that the real highlight of the evening was CORTIS.
