Christian artist Corey Asbury has shared that Forrest Frank’s idea for an alternative Super Bowl halftime show is still underway, but it’s not connected to the main event. In a video on Instagram, Asbury mentioned that he and Frank are in the process of securing a venue and funding for what they describe as a worship-centered halftime concert. He referred to it as the “Jesus Bowl 26 Alternative Halftime Show” and noted that he had made a new video to elaborate on its purpose.

“Forrest and I kind of softly launched this concept, and it really took off. People seemed to want something like this,” he explained.

Asbury initially raised this idea in early October, just after the NFL announced Bad Bunny as the halftime performer, a choice that raised some eyebrows due to the artist’s explicit content. During that week, Asbury hinted at a different kind of event, reflecting his vision for a distinctly American experience.

“In the spirit of unity, Forrest and I had a good conversation with their team. It was productive and friendly,” he said.

“Our goal is to create a Jesus moment—a time when the culture focuses on one thing, and we go a different way, glorifying Jesus. We’re worshipping and praying.”

Asbury, known for songs like *Reckless Love* and *Father’s House*, envisions an event similar to a Billy Graham crusade, complete with “altar calls” and opportunities for salvation.

“There’s a significant wave of relief happening all over the country,” he remarked, pondering how impactful it could be. “Now, we need to find a venue and sponsors, because this will cost millions. Forrest and I aren’t doing this for profit; it’s about giving something back to the nation and to the Lord.” He encouraged anyone with potential leads to reach out.
