Incident Involving Florida Republican Cory Mills

On Tuesday evening, Cory Mills, a Republican representative from Florida, reportedly reached out multiple times to Miss America, Lindsey Langston. This followed revelations that he might have engaged in troubling behavior that was brought to the attention of media and law enforcement.

As reported by Blaze News, Langston accused Mills of physically harming her romantic partner and issuing threats regarding explicit material after their breakup in February. Mills’ marital status to Lana Al Sady, his partner of three years, was also mentioned, alongside details about his current residence in a Washington apartment.

Langston shared her experience with Blaze News, detailing how she managed to call Mills using a different phone after blocking his numbers and social media. However, she quickly hung up upon recognizing his voice. Subsequently, she began receiving text messages, reportedly from that other phone, which contained disturbing content and requests not to disclose information that could affect Mills’ family.

The messages included phrases like, “You are the only one who can stop this,” which indicated significant emotional distress. Langston noted that the situation was impacting her mental health.

A spokesperson for Mills did not respond to requests for comment regarding these serious allegations.

Mills’ Chief of Staff, Katherine Treadwell, also contacted Langston, ostensibly to address concerns before escalating matters legally. Her message started with, “Hey! What’s going on? Is everything okay?” The tone implied some urgency, as the situation escalated with Mills’ name being implicated in various accusations.

Langston’s attorney, Anthony Sabatini, stated that the threats directed at Langston aimed to coerce her into retracting her story, which he deemed an abuse of power. Although Mills’ team communicated that legal actions could be pursued, Langston pressed on, seeking a restraining order. The courts are expected to address these motions soon.
