Costco reveals partnership with Nike and Kirkland Signature

Costco Unveils Exclusive Nike Sneaker Collaboration

On Friday, Costco unexpectedly launched a new sneaker collaboration with Nike, stirring excitement among shoppers and causing a buzz in the resale market.

The Nike SB Dunk Low x Kirkland Signature Exclusive has been made available in select areas, according to Nike’s announcement to FOX Business. The sneaker was priced at $134.99 in states such as New York, Oregon, California, and Washington, as reported by Women’s Wear Daily.

In just three days, resale prices surged by more than 200%, with listings on third-party platforms like StockX, eBay, and GOAT ranging from around $400 to $1,000.

The sneaker design seems to draw inspiration from Kirkland’s iconic sweatshirts, often featuring the brand’s signature in classic colors like black, gray, and white.

Adorned with various Kirkland logos, the sneaker is primarily gray and has a surface that resembles sweatshirt fabric, along with an interior lining designed to imitate the pilling texture of well-worn sweaters.

Kirkland branding is present on the heel’s side and inside the tongue, while the tongue tag states “Nike Skateboarding Dunk Low Pro.”

Interestingly, there’s a label on the back of the tongue that looks like the white price tags often seen in stores, reading “Kirkland Signature Skateboard Shore” ($135.00).

While the retail price is $134.99, Costco’s pricing strategy tends to be distinctive. Typically, a “.99” indicates regular pricing, while a “.00” often suggests that the item is limited in stock.

The shoe also comes attached with a removable hangtag designed similarly to the Costco Executive Membership Card.

This surprise launch follows last year’s leaks about the collaboration, which left fans to ponder various aspects like the design and pricing without concrete information.

Additionally, the insole features a prominent Kirkland logo, and the back showcases an image of Costco’s well-known $1.50 hot dog.

Over the weekend, 660 pairs were resold on StockX alone, with the highest sale reaching $600.
