Country music star calls X ‘the most toxic negative app to exist’

Country music star Jelly Roll is furious.

Tired of the negativity spreading online, the 39-year-old singer made his dissatisfaction known in an explosive post on X, attacking the social media platform itself.

“This is, without a doubt, the most harmful negative app to ever exist – period. LOL. I always heard this is different, this is the Wild West, and this is just insane.” he wrote.

“This is a safe place where everyone can say mean things without negatively impacting each other,” he continued. “I'm out now (lol),” he said, apparently implying that he's done using the platform. A representative for the “I Am Not Okay” singer did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

In July 2023, the application formerly known as Twitter became X after Elon Musk acquired the company and renamed it.

Earlier this year, Jelly Roll (real name Jason Bradley Deford) was disconnected from social media after being bullied about his weight.

In April, the singer's wife Bunny Zoe (Alyssa Deford) called out users for their inconsiderate comments. “My husband got off the internet because he was tired of being bullied about his weight,” she revealed on the Dumb Blonde podcast.

“He's such a sweet angel baby that it makes me want to cry,” she said. “My husband doesn't show it to you guys, but I'm going to have a very vulnerable moment here,” she told listeners. “It hurts him.”

She later rejected the idea that fame comes with malicious comments. “The internet can say whatever it wants about you, and they say, 'You're famous, you should be able to handle it.' No, we're not — we're not. ”

“Don't bully people, because you never know what kind of mental state a person is in. There are a lot of people on the internet who are not as strong as me and they don't deserve to be bullied,” she said. he said, seemingly referring to the hatred he also received.

“I'm sorry, I'm going to stand up for all the underdogs… You're not going to bully me, you're never going to lie about me or my family, and I'm going to fight for society.” It’s over,” she declared.

Since turning his life around after being jailed for aggravated robbery and intent to distribute, Jelly Roll has made it his mission to give back and preach positivity.

In February, the singer spoke to FOX News Digital about how she uses her platform for good.
