Country Musician Brian Duckworth Passes Away at 56

Brian “Nashville” Duckworth, a country singer, has died at the age of 56.

As noted in an obituary shared by his family, he passed away at home on September 7.

His family, who included him in their band, Taylor Made, mentioned in the obituary that while Duckworth chased his dream of becoming a country music star, he also worked as a dedicated dump truck driver for Wolfe’s Excavating, earning him the nickname “Truck Boss.” They shared that he genuinely enjoyed this job because it allowed him to spend his days outdoors.

“Music held a special place in his heart, too. He loved to sing and was proud to perform with his family band, Taylor Made. Brian seized every opportunity to share his voice, leading to the affectionate nickname ‘Nashville,’” they added.

Duckworth began singing with his siblings, Greg and Wendy Williams, and in 2008, the trio formed a band called I-79, which made its debut at the Colgate Country Showdown.

Later, they changed their name to Taylor Made and gained recognition with songs like “Things You Don’t Grow Out Of,” which peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard Indicator chart.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 16 years, Tina, along with six children: Zach, Ashton, Logan, Kayla, Michael, and Matt, plus four grandchildren and five siblings.

The obituary expresses that “Above all, Brian treasured his family and the special memories they created together. He also dearly loved his faithful fur family, who were constant companions and brought him great comfort and happiness. Brian’s love of family, music, and the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.”

His niece, Brianna Duckworth Kazner, shared a wedding video on her Facebook, reflecting that it’s hard to believe that was the last time Taylor Made performed together. She reminisced about growing up watching her family perform at fairs and festivals until she could join them, saying Brian always knew how to inspire her creatively when she was stuck with songwriting.

A cause of death was not specified in the obituary, and Duckworth will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Garden on Monday.
