Country star Lainey Wilson engaged after joking she ‘might have to propose’ after three years

Rainey Wilson finally got what she was looking for: the suggestion.

The country music star went to Instagram on February 12th and announced his engagement to Devlin “Duck” Hodges a month later, jokingly.

This is not the first time Wilson has joked about proposing a former NFL player. After debuting her relationship at the ACM Awards in May 2023, “A Heart-Like Track” singer They revealed that they had been secretly dating for over two years at the time.

In an interview with The Bobby Bones Show in June 2023, Wilson revealed where Hodges got his nickname “Duck.”

“His college football coach said, “You're one of the best quarterbacks I've ever worked for. And you're one of my favorite quarterbacks I worked for years ago. It reminded me of a lot: Duck. And he and the team just started calling him a 'duck',” she explained.
