Couple shot at Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade

A couple rooting for their “beloved” Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday was shot and wounded while attending the team’s victory parade, and how they “left with a wounded leg and most importantly, a broken heart.” This was revealed on social media.

Kansas residents Jacob Gooch and Emily Tavis were celebrating a Chiefs victory with hundreds of thousands of fans at Union Station when gunfire erupted in the crowd, killing one person and killing nine others. 22 people, including children, were injured.

“You already know that today my man, my son-in-law, and I were all shot in the Union Station shooting.” Tavis wrote on Facebook.

“We came to celebrate our beloved CHIEFS. But we left with a bruised leg and, most of all, a bruised heart.”

Thanking her friends for their “kindness and prayers,” Tavis said: “Valentine’s Day was supposed to be a day to show love. But this year it was the day our hearts were broken.”

“I like to believe that most people are good, and it’s nice to know that I have quite a few of them in my corner,” she said of herself, decked out in Chiefs gear. he wrote while sharing a photo of Gooch, and several others.

Her partner also shared the news and a photo of his bloody leg. on facebook“Don’t worry anyone, Emily and I were both just caught up in this crazy shooting at a Chiefs celebration. We’re both okay. This world is out of control. Prayers.”

Gooch shared a photo of his injured leg and wrote: “Should the hospital send me home with bones hanging out of my leg?”

Gooch added in the comment section, “Turns out my son was shot too!”

In a subsequent post, Gooch shared a photo of his injured leg and wrote: “Should the hospital send you home with bones hanging out of your leg?”

The newspaper contacted both Mr. Tavis and Mr. Gooch.

Of the 22 people injured in Wednesday afternoon’s horrifying attack, only two were Kansas City fanatics.

Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City said its facility is treating nine children with gunshot wounds.

Lisa López Galván, a mother of two and avid Chiefs fan, died after being shot in the abdomen during surgery at a local hospital.
