Canadian Couple Marries at Pokémon Go Fest in New Jersey

A couple from Canada, Sandra Malosek and Les Dorgo, tied the knot on Friday at New Jersey’s Pokémon Go Fest, where they first connected while playing the popular mobile game. They met while attempting to catch a rare Pokémon, linking their love story to their favorite pastime.

Family members traveled from Poland and Hungary to attend the special event. The newlyweds have spent their honeymoon traveling the world, searching for elusive Pokémon together.

Recently, they visited France to catch Klefki and tackled the challenge of finding Maractus in Florida. Their adventures are just the beginning, as they continue exploring during their honeymoon.

This year, Jersey City welcomed over 100,000 players eager to engage in the immersive world of Pokémon. Last year, the Pokémon Go Fest was held at Randall’s Island in New York, where players roamed the area in search of virtual creatures.

Interestingly, Malosek and Dorgo got engaged during last year’s festival, and they chose to complete their journey by exchanging vows at Liberty State Park this year.
