Courtney Stodden has mentioned that she sent a friendly message to Chrissy Teigen, yet claims she was “completely ignored” following their past cyberbullying controversy, which occurred around four years ago.
In a recent Instagram post, Stodden expressed that many were curious about how Meghan Markle featured Teigen on her cooking show “Love, Meghan,” and what her thoughts were on the backlash regarding it.
Stodden remarked, “People, for some reason, believe that Chrissy shouldn’t be bullied,” adding her own perspective as a former contestant on “Celebrity Big Brother UK.” She questioned, “Have we really learned anything? It seems like we’re still making the same mistakes.”
She noted that when she saw Teigen viewing her Instagram story, she decided to reach out directly via direct message.
With a smile, Stodden said, “Yeah,” indicating her hopefulness in that moment.
However, her fans expressed disappointment, taking to the comments to criticize Teigen for not responding to Stodden’s approach. One comment read, “That’s Chrissy for Ya! Don’t worry, she’s one of them,” while another suggested, “Her loss.”
Some offered advice, saying things like, “Little Miss Clichy wasn’t a good person either. You handled this like a bigger person. Honestly, I wouldn’t waste my time.”
Following Stodden’s claims, representatives for Teigen have yet to provide any comment regarding this issue.
Stodden mentioned previously that Teigen had made some harsh comments during her difficult marriage at a young age, including an offensive suggestion to take a “smudge nap.” There were multiple instances of cruel remarks directed at her, leading Teigen to apologize in a lengthy 2021 statement.
However, in a March interview, Stodden candidly reflected on the immense pain these hateful comments caused her.
Stodden recalled, “I remember, in the depths of it all, thinking about suicide, and those words were a significant part of that. I actually wrote a suicide letter.”
Teigen did discuss her past remarks in a 2021 interview, stating they had ultimately made her a “stronger person.” She described how the experience has changed her perspective and contributed to her growth.
In her words, “I’m grateful it happened. It has pushed me to be a better person.”
