Tragic Passing of Rosie Roche

Rosie Roche, a cousin of Prince William and Prince Harry, has tragically passed away at the young age of 20. Her family discovered her lifeless body on July 14 at their home in Wiltshire, England, as confirmed by the local coroner.

The coroner reported that the cause of death was “traumatic head trauma,” noting that a firearm was found nearby. Fortunately, there were no indications of foul play or involvement from a third party.

According to media reports, Roche was found by her mother and sister, and she had been in the midst of preparing for a vacation with friends. She was the granddaughter of Edmund Roche, the late uncle of Princess Diana.

Diana herself tragically died in a car accident at age 36 in 1997. Roche’s family ties are significant, encompassing connections to both the late princess and the current monarch, King Charles III.

Roche’s obituary was released on July 19, highlighting her as a beloved daughter and sister in the family. It was also noted that a private funeral would be held, with a memorial service planned for a later date.

A first-year English literature student at Durham University, Roche was described by the university’s principal as someone who had quickly settled in and made many friends. Her enthusiasm for literature and her vibrant personality were remarked upon fondly.

The principal expressed deep sadness over Roche’s passing and noted her contributions to the college community. Before attending university, Roche was a student at St. Mary’s Carne, a well-regarded independent boarding school in Wiltshire.

The school expressed its condolences, remembering her as a cherished member of their community whose memory will continue to inspire others.
