Cover-up revealed: Biden’s mental challenges validated in troubling leaked recordings

An audio interview featuring Joe Biden from 2023 has recently come to light, revealing details that many conservatives believe support longstanding claims about media bias and the Biden administration’s attempts to obscure information. This recording was shared by Axios’ Alex Thompson just before the launch of his new book with Jake Tapper, prompting renewed discussions about President Biden’s actions and the media’s role in shaping public perception.

The interview, conducted by special advisor Robert Huar, was part of a broader investigation concerning classified documents found at Biden’s Delaware home, dating back to his time as vice president. Huar noted concerns surrounding Biden’s cognitive abilities, suggesting that during the interview, Biden would likely portray himself as a kind, well-meaning elder.

One democratic strategist referred to Biden’s situation as “Beyond the Catastrophe,” implying it confirmed voters’ doubts about his capacity to lead. The commentary was quickly dismissed by Democratic operatives and supporters in the mainstream media, especially after former Attorney General Merrick Garland’s refusal to release the audio or its transcript at that time. In late 2024, following Republican actions in Congress, the Justice Department eventually released the transcripts, but the audio was only made public recently.

In a court filing, the Surveillance Project, the plaintiff in the case seeking the audio, expressed concerns about the timing of the tape’s release, linking it to Thompson’s upcoming book. They pointed out that Thompson, who allegedly held the complete recording, had so far only published excerpts favorable to his narrative.

Mike Howell, president of the Surveillance Project, voiced his frustration at the media for allegedly misleading the public about Biden’s health. According to Howell, withholding the audio represented a form of election interference designed to support Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris. He remarked that Americans deserved to hear the tape much earlier than they did.

In previous discussions, some legal analysts defended the decision to withhold such evidence as a way to maintain the integrity of the ongoing investigations. Elie Honig from CNN expressed conflicting feelings about this, acknowledging the public’s right to access the recording while simultaneously supporting Garland’s choice.

Following the tape’s unexpected drop, Honig was unavailable for comment. Meanwhile, other media personalities, including Jake Tapper, appeared to be working to restore credibility within the context of the tape’s content.

Curtis Houck from Media Research Center criticized the media’s seemingly hypocritical response to the recording’s release, arguing they had been part of an extensive cover-up. He reiterated that the negative public sentiment towards Biden stemmed from his perceived inability to handle basic information.

As more revelations regarding Biden’s mental fitness emerge, Howell indicated that his organization would persist in its efforts to uncover additional details surrounding the situation.
