Cowboys Do Not Belong to ‘White Culture Only’

Pop icon Beyoncé releases a new country album, and her mother Tina Knowles is slamming her critics on social media.

In a lengthy Instagram post over the weekend, Tina Knowles said she and her family “always celebrated the cowboy culture that I grew up with in Beyoncé’s home state of Texas,” and how it has become a “whites-only culture.” He said that he had broken the concept of belonging.

It’s also worth noting that Darius Rucker transcended country music’s predominantly white American image in the 1990s with Hootie and the Blowfish.

“We’ve always celebrated the cowboy culture that grew up in Texas,” Knowles said. “We also always understood that it didn’t just belong to white culture. There’s a huge black cowboy culture in Texas. My kids brought that into fashion and art from the beginning. Why do you think it is included?”

Tina even said that Beyoncé has been part of cowboy culture since she was a child.

“When people ask me why Beyonce wears a cowboy hat? I laugh because it’s really funny and it’s been there since she was a kid. We go to the rodeo every year and the whole family wears a cowboy hat. “I wore Western fashion. Solange has completed an amazing album and project that is based on black cowboy culture. It was definitely part of our culture growing up,” she said.

Earlier this month, Beyoncé released the singles “Texas Hold’em” and “16 Carriage” from her upcoming album Renaissance Act II. Singer Darius Rucker transcended country music’s predominantly white American image in the 1990s with Hootie and the Blowfish.

Controversy over Beyoncé releasing a country album broke out last week. Dukes of Hazzard Star John Schneider said: One America News Beyoncé and “Lefty” breaking into country music is like a dog pissing on a tree.

“People are coming into country music,” Schneider said. “They seem to think it’s easy, or simple, or somehow less sophisticated than music sung in other ways.”

as pointed out by business insiderSchneider’s critics pointed out that he was “trying to protect music that originated in the South” because he was “from New York.”
