Cowboys’ George Pickens Frustrated After Key Pass Interception
In a recent game, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens displayed visible frustration on the sidelines during the fourth quarter. This came after a pass intended for him went awry, intercepted by a Chicago Bears player.
The Cowboys’ quarterback, Dak Prescott, threw the ball to Pickens, positioned about eight yards downfield. Unfortunately, the pass seemed a bit too far ahead, leading to an impressive diving interception by Edmunds.
Returning to the bench, Pickens slammed his helmet into the ground in evident disappointment. During the game, he managed five receptions and a touchdown earlier on. Still, he couldn’t make a significant impact, especially after the Cowboys lost another player, Sheede, to an ankle injury early in the match.
Ultimately, Chicago walked away with a 31-14 victory.
Caleb Williams Shines for Bears
On the other side, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had a standout performance, effectively challenging the Cowboys’ defense. One of the highlights was a first-quarter connection with Luther Burden III for a touchdown, showcasing Williams’ poise under pressure.
He ended the game with 19 completions out of 28 attempts, racking up 298 passing yards and throwing four touchdown passes. Burden led the Bears with three catches for 101 yards. Other receivers like Roma Odunze, DJ Moore, and Cole Kmet also contributed with touchdown receptions.
The Cowboys’ defense has been struggling lately, allowing at least 30 points in three of their last five regular-season games.
Both teams currently hold a record of 1-2 this season.
