Cowboys player outlines expectations for the Super Bowl

Dallas Cowboys’ Super Bowl Aspirations for the 2025 Season

For fans of the Dallas Cowboys, every season seems to hinge on the hope of reaching the Super Bowl.

It’s been a long time since the Cowboys made it to an NFC Championship game, with the last appearance dating back to the 1995 season. Over the years, they’ve frequently stumbled in the playoffs, not making it past the divisional round on several occasions and facing early exits as wild card contenders.

Looking towards the upcoming 2025 season, expectations are high. With a healthy Dak Prescott at quarterback, the team is ready to make strides, and they’re under the guidance of new head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

Offensive lineman Tyler Smith emphasized the team’s consistent goal of winning the Super Bowl. “Super Bowl Champion,” he remarked to reporters in California shortly before training camp kicked off. “That’s always an expectation.”

Smith reiterated that this goal feels realistic, pointing to new additions like wide receiver George Pickens and offensive lineman Tyler Booker as solid reasons for optimism. “We’ve built a strong core for the offense,” he added, “and I think Booker will definitely strengthen our front line.”

Despite some challenges last season, including injuries to Prescott, the Cowboys still finished with a 7-10 record.

However, the landscape is shifting. With the Philadelphia Eagles winning the Super Bowl last season and Washington emerging as a credible threat, it’s going to be tougher this year in the NFC East. As always, the stakes remain high, and aspirations are firmly set on the prize at the end of the season.
