Jiu-jitsu player Craig Jones forcibly kissed his female opponent ahead of an upcoming tournament, leaving the female opponent furious and saying he had gone too far.
Jones will host his own star-studded jiu-jitsu tournament, the Craig Jones Invitational, headlined by a gender-bending bout against six-time world champion Gabi Garcia.
“Brazilians don’t take jokes.”
In the video posted InstagramJones and Garcia went head-to-head at a weigh-in and meet-and-greet event to promote the tournament.
Jones grabbed Garcia’s face with both hands and forcibly kissed her on the lips before pushing her away. Garcia became enraged and chased Jones, yelling, “Really?!”
“You’re a bitch!” she yelled. “Craig, really? Fuck you. You crossed the line. You crossed the line. You crossed the line,” she repeated.
Jones posted that the fight was cancelled, saying, “Brazilians can’t take a joke.”
Four hours later, the two collaborated again on Instagram. post “The fighting has resumed,” he claimed.
Of course, this only fueled further speculation that the kiss had been discussed beforehand.
But such antics don’t diminish the importance of the event, which offers $1 million in prize money to the winners of two weight classes (over 80kg and under 80kg).
The mixed main event will feature Jones, a 33-year-old Australian who is a two-time silver medalist at the ADCC Submission Fighting World Championships.
Garcia is a 6-foot-2, 38-year-old Brazilian who has competed in mixed martial arts at the 200-pound plus weight class. She has struggled to find suitable opponents in the past because of her size.
Garcia has been accused of steroid use many times over the years but has never tested positive for the drug in any sanctioning body.
However, she tested positive for a banned substance called clomiphene in 2013. Clomiphene is banned under the category of “hormonal and metabolic regulators.” Eastern European BJJ.

Other notable names include former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold and two-time U.S. wrestling champion Jason Nolf.
