A crazed nephew became enraged during an argument at his aunt’s home on Tuesday and beat her to death with a broom, according to authorities and sources.
According to police and sources, Alexander Fleming, 29, and his aunt, Juanita Dallas, were arguing inside their Jamaica home on 164th Street near 108th Street around 10:30 p.m. when Fleming suddenly hit his aunt over the head with a broom.
Dallas was rushed to North Shore University Hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
Police said Fleming was arrested that evening and charged with murder, aggravated indifference, assault with intent to injure with a weapon and unlawful possession of a weapon.
Law enforcement sources said the suspect had been arrested 10 times before, but details were not immediately available.
