Two years ago, the grief group saw activist Bo stabbed and killed in Brooklyn, recalls what he was trying to propose when he was killed.
Emotional Claudia Morales was randomly slaughtered in a packed courtroom when she and Ryan Carson were randomly slaughtered by Brian Dowling in October 2023 when the pair returned from their wedding He told the packed court.
“We were on the cliffs of our lives together,” she said. “We were a few months away from moving together and we were already discussing hand towels.
“We attended a wedding hours before he passed away, with the privilege of witnessing two of my beloved friends in the world, and entered life together, quietly thinking about the same thing and gazing. I've replaced it.
She told her at Carson's wake that he had discussed the proposal.
Morales said that her murdered love was “activist, organizer, self-described, self-proven, revolutionary revolutionary” as “overdose and harm reduction, climate justice, bail reform, abortion and reproduction.” Remembering it as something dedicated to many issues such as rights, prison reforms – and ultimately, he knew it was far away, but abolished.”
“Today, I have no craving for vengeance or retaliation,” she said. “I don't feel closure or conclusion today.”
Carson and Morales were walking down Malcolm x Boulevard on October 2, 2023 at around 4am.
“What is F-K watching?” he sneered at Carson. “I'll kill you!”
Surveillance video footage of the attack shows Dowling pulling out a knife and stabs Carson.
Dowling is seen repeatedly stabbing Carson as he lies helplessly on the ground, and he bleed on the sidewalk to behave Morales before skullking .
Dowling surrendered to officers a few days later and was charged with murder.
He pleaded guilty as part of his January 22 contract with prosecutors in exchange for the 20-year and life sentence that was handed over Wednesday by Brooklyn Supreme Court Judge Danny Chun.
“What the defendant did was clearly and absolutely unforgivable and unforgivable, the most vicious and most frightening thing he did,” Chun told the court. “He took a life he shouldn't have.
“He was not involved in the gang or drugs. He had obviously been troubled with his anger and ended up using the knife on the deceased,” the judge added.

In another moving courtroom moment, Carson's mother, Marybeth Tollen, considered her only child a “talented poet” and “a kind, caring, endlessly energetic.”
“Ryan has been dead for over a year, and I found myself saying, 'Oh, I need to check in with Ryan about this, or get his perspective on it,'” she said,' told the court. “I'm sad because Ryan will never get married or have a baby. Kenny and I will never see him again, and we will never be grandparents. Mr Dowling's actions are We erased good in the world.
“It was painful and created a spider web of anger and sadness for all of us.”
Army veteran Kenneth Carson, the father of the murdered man, said that after his son's murder returned from a tour in Afghanistan, he recovered the PTSD trauma he fought for years.
“When I was dealing with PTSD at the lowest, the idea of leaving Ryan behind and leaving this world saved me from the Abyss, where I found myself,” he said. “That lifeline has been crushed.
“Brian Dowling said to my son Ryan Carson, 'Who are you looking?' and 'I'm going to kill you,' Kenneth Carson added. “Hopefully the personification of evil will stay behind the bar where it belongs.”
