A pervert accused of repeatedly raping a 12-year-old girl inside a Bronx building late last year was arrested on a warrant Wednesday, police said.
Thomas Barnaby, 30 years old – He has six arrests. – The man is wanted by the New York City Police Department on suspicion of raping a minor “on multiple occasions” between Dec. 19, 2023 and Dec. 23, 2023, police and officials said. He was arrested hours later.
Barnaby is charged with first-degree, second-degree, and third-degree rape, predatory sexual assault of a child, first-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching, acts injurious to a child, and second-degree and third-degree rape of a child. He was charged with third-degree sexual abuse. A disturbing series of crimes, according to police.
Police said the assault occurred inside a residential building at East 165th Street and River Avenue in the Concourse District.
His exact relationship to the young victim is unclear.
According to police, Barnaby, of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, was arrested in the Bronx.
Barnaby’s most significant previous arrest was for robbery in 2016, and he also had been arrested on a theft of services charge, law enforcement officials said.
