Critics of Transgender Youth Are ‘F**king Close-Minded’

“I think they're really narrow-minded,” Armstrong said of those who are critical of the concept of transgender youth. “It's as if people are afraid of their children. Why be afraid? Why not let your children be their children?”

Armstrong, who identifies as bisexual, added that she felt “really freeing” to sing the lyrics, “Would you like to be my boyfriend?” Green Day's new song “Bobby Sox”.

“I thought I should flip the script,” the “Basket Case” singer said. Los Angeles Times. “I'm kind of playing a female character, but it also felt very liberating to sing, 'Do you want to be my boyfriend?'” It became a more bizarre singalong. ”

“America was like a girlfriend who needed time to break up,” Armstrong said. Estimated net worth He said the $75 million is expected to increase after his band's 2024 “Sabres” tour, which will hit 25 U.S. cities.

“He surrounds himself with good people,” Armstrong said of Biden.

Mr Armstrong, who recently made headlines for insulting tens of millions of Trump supporters by comparing them to rednecks during a New Year's Eve performance, said he was “reluctant” to support US politicians. He added that no politician would call on Green Day to rally around them, since the band could be seen as “anti-American” to them anyway.

“I'm really reluctant to get into bed with a politician. I've never been asked,” Armstrong admitted.

“I think there are aspects of us that people might consider anti-American, so they embrace us at arm's length,” the “American Idiot” singer added.

“I went to the hospital and we're trying to be very careful,” Armstrong explained. “No one says anything about anything, so I'm like, 'Cool, no one knows who I am.' They roll me in, give me drugs, and I'm out.”

“I woke up and the doctor came and said, 'Everything is great and fine,'” the “Longview” singer added. “Then the nurse said, 'I'm telling you, we're big fans and we were listening to Green Day the whole time we were in the hospital.'
