Crowd Shouts 'Kristi Noem Will Hang' at NYC Demonstration

Protesters gathered in Foley Square, New York City, on Thursday, chanting “Kristi Noem will be hanged.”

Footage shared on social media captured the chants and visuals of demonstrators holding anti-ICE signs and showing hostility towards federal officers.

According to reports, federal agents shot and killed two individuals in Portland, Oregon, earlier that afternoon, as noted by local officials.

Details remain limited, but city authorities indicated the police were responding to gunfire reports in southeast Portland around 2:18 p.m. PT. They found a man and a woman both injured by gunfire, as mentioned in a police release.

Mayor Keith Wilson stated that federal agents were responsible for the injuries sustained by the two victims.

Portland City Council President Elana Pirtle-Guiney later confirmed that both individuals had survived the incident.

The shooting occurred while two U.S. Border Patrol agents were carrying out a “targeted vehicle stop” involving suspected undocumented Venezuelan immigrants connected to a violent transnational gang.

The Department of Homeland Security reported that the driver of the vehicle allegedly possessed a weapon and attempted to run over an officer, prompting law enforcement to fire in self-defense. The driver escaped with a passenger.

Interestingly, this incident followed closely on the heels of another shooting by an ICE agent in Minneapolis, which had also led to a fatality.
