Cuppy — based in London music producer and daughter Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola — was in the front row at New York Fashion Week this month.
But the music maven, who earned a master's degree from New York University, isn't in town just to look stylish.
She also launched a new scholarship program at her alma mater and hosted youth events at the university. united nations general assembly.
The DJ (née Florence Otedola) was spotted at an event. Tory Burch Show in Williamsburgalong with other VIPs such as Michelle Williams, Ivy Getty, Jodie Turner-Smith, Mindy Kaling, and Elizabeth Olsen.
The Nigerian-born philanthropist also stopped by New York University a few days later to launch the Kuppy Africa Steinhardt Scholars Fund. The fund will “provide scholarships to two students in Steinhardt's full-time graduate program to meet unexpected and urgent financial needs,” the school said.

Cuppy — who Formerly interned at Jay-Z's Roc Nationwho holds another graduate degree from Oxford University, said at the event: “Nigeria is one of the most exciting and vibrant countries in the world, but it is also a place where education is very well-endowed…In higher education, everyone recognizes that. I want to help people who get into NYU stay there.”
The dress code for the event was “African-inspired clothing.''
While in town, Cuppie, 31, who is also president of the Red Velvet Music Group and the Cuppie Foundation, hosted the opening ceremony of the United Nations' Future Summit.
Those in attendance included Amina J. Mohammed, UN Under-Secretary-General, and Felipe Parier, UN Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs.
Speaking at the Youth Action General Assembly, Cuppy brought the energy of a DJ to her appearance on “Crowd Check for Cuppy” and said, “Maybe I can be Nigeria’s first female president, who knows. Sometimes all we need is a little hope.”
