D4vd calls off world tour as police look into the murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez

D4VD Cancels World Tour Amid Ongoing Investigation

D4VD, the 20-year-old artist behind the song “Romantic Murder,” has abruptly canceled his world tour while he looks into the tragic death of a teenager, whose remains were discovered in the trunk of his Tesla.

His record label has chosen not to promote the deluxe version of his album during this time. Meanwhile, D4VD had shows lined up in Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.

Legally known as David Austen Burke, he also had several performances scheduled in Europe, as previously reported.

The cancellation coincides with the investigation into the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, which is still unfolding.

According to reports, Universal Music Group and Sony Music Publishing have put all promotional efforts for the artist on hold.

While D4VD hasn’t been named a suspect, the Los Angeles Police Department did execute a search warrant at the home where he was staying, seizing “some evidence,” as confirmed by LAPD.

This situation has stirred concern due to the unfortunate connections between pop stars and young victims. Screenshots from a Discord fan server have surfaced, indicating that Rivas Hernandez was rumored to be dating a teen named “Celeste” prior to her passing.

Images circulating online show D4VD with a young woman resembling Rivas Hernandez, who had been featured on a missing poster. Her mother mentioned that her daughter was involved with someone named David before she disappeared.

Interestingly, the year before, D4VD included the name “Celeste” in an unreleased track, mentioning a girl who “holds my name” and has tattoos on her chest.

As of now, no charges have been filed, and D4VD is reportedly cooperating with investigators. Rivas Hernandez’s body was discovered on September 8, just a day after her 15th birthday, indicating that she had been deceased for some time.
