The rapper D4vd has been arrested on murder charges related to the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas.
Authorities from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery-Homicide Unit apprehended him on Thursday, and he is currently being held without bail.
Police executed a search at his Hollywood Hills residence where he was staying at the time of his arrest.
After his detention, police were spotted near his home, alongside the singer’s criminal lawyer, Blair Burke.
According to an LAPD statement, “Detectives have arrested David Burke, 21, of Los Angeles, on suspicion of murdering Celeste Rivas. He is being held without bail, and the District Attorney’s Office will review the case on Monday.”
Rivas’ dismembered remains were discovered in D4vd’s Tesla in September after a tow yard employee detected a foul smell coming from the car. Her family reported her missing in April.
Following the grim find, D4vd canceled their remaining tour dates, and speculation regarding his relationship with Rivas surfaced, especially with pictures of the two that appeared online before her disappearance.
The investigation revealed disturbing details about the condition of Rivas’ body. Reports indicated that her remains were found in two separate body bags inside the Tesla, one containing her head and torso, and the other holding additional body parts, all of which were infested with insects, as per unsealed documents from a Texas court.
A grand jury investigation into the case began in February 2026, with D4vd being named a person of interest.
