Dad claims ex-wife forced young son to transition despite his protests

A New York man says his ex-wife forced their young son to undergo a gender transition from boy to girl during their divorce. Despite his ex-wife’s protests that his son never wanted to be a girl from the beginning.

The dispute began when his ex-wife, Amy Hannon, began dressing their 3-year-old son in girl’s clothes and encouraging him to change his gender.

However, she hid it from him and whenever he went to pick up his son during the visitation period, he remained young.

“When he was in his mother’s care, we didn’t know he was actually a girl named Ruby.” Hannon told the Daily Mail.

His heart then broke when he saw a notice from the school that called his son “Ruby Rose Hannon.”

“This was a unilateral sex change of my child,” he said. “I had no say.”

“There are two sides to every story,” she said. “And after reading that, [Daily Mail] The story…the amount of lies in that story is pretty scary. The important thing here is the child. ”

“Suddenly he no longer has any desire to be a girl,” Hannon said, adding that she is trying to get custody but is on the verge of bankruptcy. “He never had his desire to be a girl. It was a fantasy that his mother imposed on him.”

“No one considered the psychological impact of the social transition of a 5-year-old,” he said. They received treatment before the diagnosis was made.

“I will always love my son no matter who he wants to be,” Hannon said of her gender identity. “But this was not his choice. It was forced on him.”
