Dak Prescott engineers clutch touchdown drive to give Cowboys win over Steelers

Dak Prescott had to recover after an interception early in the fourth quarter sparked the Pittsburgh Steelers' first touchdown drive.

With 4:56 left in the game, Prescott led the Cowboys on a 15-play, 70-yard drive, throwing a 4-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Holbert for the lead. Tolbert was hanging onto DeShon Elliott when he made the grab.

Dallas held Pittsburgh out of the end zone in the final 40 seconds and won 20-17. The Cowboys won, moving to 3 wins and 2 losses.

Prescott completed 29 of 42 for 352 passing yards despite two critical interceptions. He also had a touchdown pass to Rico Doodle. Prescott's interception of cornerback Joey Porter Jr. gave the Steelers new life.

Justin Fields led the Steelers with a 12-play, 63-yard drive. He threw the winning touchdown pass to Pat Freiermuth to take the lead. Pittsburgh's defense, which played great for most of the game, was unable to get off the field on the next drive.

Fields completed 15 of 27 for 127 passing yards and two touchdown passes. Added 27 yards on the ground.

The signs of the Steelers offense were obvious, but the Cowboys defense attacked them as tough as possible. They got to Fields three times and Pittsburgh went 3-of-12 on third down. The Steelers had just 17 total first downs.

Prescott connected with nine different receivers. Tolbert led the way with seven catches for 87 yards. CeeDee Lamb had five catches for 62 yards.
