Dakota Johnson shares that she thought Knicks' OG Anunoby was fictional.

It’s safe to say that Anne Hathaway is a die-hard Knicks fan.

However, the same can’t be said for Dakota Johnson.

In a recent appearance on the online show “First We Feast” with co-star Josh Hartnett, the cast of the new film “Verity” played a game called “Wildcard.” During the game, Johnson admitted she didn’t even know who OG Anunoby, a key player for the Knicks, was.

When Hathaway drew Anunoby’s name, both Hartnett and Johnson looked perplexed. Johnson’s immediate reaction was, “That’s not real,” which made for a funny moment as she jokingly accused the crew of throwing in a made-up name to throw them off.

Hartnett eventually offered a clue, and Hathaway quickly figured out it was the Knicks player before enthusiastically explaining who Anunoby is to her co-stars.

“That’s a real person?” Johnson exclaimed, leaving Hathaway momentarily stunned.

But Hathaway quickly gathered herself and excitedly shared details about Anunoby’s impressive performance. “In Game 4 of the NBA championship, one of the greatest baskets ever scored is by OG Anunoby—you just have to see it,” she noted, referring to his decisive tip-in that secured a victory for the Knicks during that game.

“It’s poetry in motion. It’s divine,” Hathaway added.

As a lifelong Knicks fan and New York native, Hathaway has expressed her love for the team on many occasions. She recently mentioned on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that she received a signed jersey from Anunoby, stating she would prefer a second championship over another Oscar.

During the show, Hathaway also shared that she requests courtside seats for Knicks games every birthday. “When I was a kid, I’d sit in the nosebleeds and always wondered who got to sit courtside,” she recalled, recounting a time in 2024 when Anunoby accidentally spilled her son’s popcorn during a game.
