Billboard in Michigan Takes Aim at Convicted Murderer
A billboard in Michigan is drawing attention to the case of Dee Warner, whose husband, Dale Warner, was recently convicted of her murder. This situation began with her disappearance in 2021 and ended tragically with the discovery of her body in a fertilizer tank.
The sign, which reads “Help Dale, Find Dee,” has been in place for years, put up by Warner’s family to seek answers. Its visibility has increased following Dale Warner’s conviction.
Dee Warner, 52, vanished from her Franklin Township home in April 2021. Charges of murder were filed against Dale Warner in 2023, but her body wasn’t found until 2024, discovered in a tank labeled “Do Not Use” in rural Michigan.
An autopsy indicated that Dee had been strangled and sustained blunt force trauma. On March 10, a jury declared Dale Warner guilty of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
During the investigation, her brother, Greg Hardy, expressed suspicion about Dale’s behavior following Dee’s disappearance. He mentioned having a “gut feeling” about Dale, noting that his attitude struck him as off.
Hardy didn’t feel Dale acted like a worried husband. The billboard was reportedly intended to apply psychological pressure on him, perhaps to humiliate him publicly.
As the trial unfolded this year, details emerged about the troubled marriage, with prosecutors arguing that Dale made several “conscious decisions” leading to Dee’s death. Prosecutor Jackie Wise explained that rather than calling for help, Dale might have taped Dee’s mouth and nose, a calculated choice, indicative of guilt.
The defense insisted there was doubt surrounding Dale’s involvement, highlighting that he cooperated with investigators during the search. Defense attorney Mary Chartier argued that the jury’s task was not to judge him as a husband but to assess the case fairly, however, she acknowledged that opinions on his character could vary.
