After five seasons, including three playoff appearances, and yet to reach the Super Bowl, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced that the team is parting ways with head coach Mike McCarthy.
Jason Whitlock thinks Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders might be the perfect fit for the job.
According to an inside source known to Jason, rumors are already flying around. Possibility of Dion leaving Now, his two sons are heading to the NFL after their final seasons, transferring from the Buffaloes.
Fearless contributor Steve Kim hopes Whitlock is right. He loves nothing more than seeing Coach Prime don the Dallas star.
“If Jerry wants to get a regular, average, mediocre coach,” he says, Sanders probably isn't the answer. But if he's looking for “someone who's fun and interesting and has a great storyline,” Sanders would fit the bill.
“Actually, what do you know? Trade up — trade Micah Parsons and a bunch of draft picks and get Shedur,” he added.
“Shedur has no such influence,” Jason countered, adding, “The only influence Shedur has…” [is] Dion. ”
“It's like LeBron and Bronny. No one drafted Bronny other than the Lakers,” he says. “Dion makes it very clear that… [Shedeur] He just shows up to play in a Cowboys uniform. ”
“The Cowboys could get Shedur, Dion will have his son,” he added, and the Cowboys “could try to move on from Dak Prescott,” and could move on from Shannon Sharpe or Sports media critics like Stephen A. Smith definitely pointed out that “they would.” Dion is campaigning to take the Cowboys job. ”
This may be a “smart move” for Dion. If he can “put up with Jerry” and succeed, Jason speculates, “he'll end up having more influence than Jerry.” “Maybe it's a match between heaven and hell.”
