Dalvin Cook drawing interest from two teams after Jets release

Dalvin Cook's shot in the NFL postseason may soon be in the spotlight.

Cook, who parted ways with the Jets on Tuesday after less than a year in New York, has received interest from the Cowboys and Ravens, according to CBS Sports' Josina Anderson.

“We'll find out tomorrow if RB Dalvin Cook clears waivers after leaving the Jets. From what I understand, one team that could have future interest on the practice squad is the Baltimore Ravens. But there were no vacancies this morning.” Posted by Anderson Wednesday's X.

In a follow-up message, Mr. Anderson pointed out:“My understanding is that the Dallas Cowboys may also consider adding Dalvin Cook. We are still evaluating them.''

Cook, a four-time Pro Bowl running back, was one of the Jets' high-profile signings this summer, following the addition of future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers in April.

Through 14 regular season games with the Jets, Cook played behind Brees Hall and had 67 carries for 214 yards and zero touchdowns.

Just one season ago, Cook had 1,173 rushing yards for the Vikings, marking his fourth straight season with over 1,000 yards.

Before joining the Jets, Cook spent the first six years of his career with the Vikings, where he was the 41st overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

It remains to be seen where Cook will land next, but Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that he has “a tremendous amount of respect” for the 28-year-old.
