UFC Plans Major Event at the White House
Dana White, the CEO of UFC, has been outlining some exciting possibilities for upcoming fight cards, particularly an event slated for the White House lawn in June 2026. It seems he’s really optimistic about the lineup he’s planning.
After UFC 320, White mentioned that he has “assembled great fight cards to date.” He also hinted at significant developments in January, which could lead to a spectacular card for February. “Honestly, you might just see this as the best fight card in the history of this company,” he confidently stated.
While he’s optimistic, White admitted that they are still in the early stages. Discussions about how to manage the logistics of a fight at the White House are happening, but nothing is set in stone just yet. “We haven’t started negotiating any matches for the White House yet,” he clarified.
The UFC has plans to transition to Paramount in January, parting ways with ESPN in a major $7.7 billion deal. Notably, famed fighter Conor McGregor is eager to be part of the White House card, although negotiations haven’t officially begun. White, while acknowledging McGregor’s excitement, advised that fans shouldn’t get their hopes too high just yet.
The upcoming UFC event is expected to coincide with the United States’ 250th birthday celebrations. Interestingly, White mentioned that the idea to hold the event at the White House came from President Trump himself. During a recent podcast, White recounted how Trump expressed pride in the White House and his desire to make it more accessible to the public through events like this one.
There’s even a plan to have fighter planes leave the Oval Office before the matches, giving it that once-in-a-lifetime feel. White described this as an unparalleled opportunity, adding a bit of excitement to the prospect.
With White and Trump being friends for years and Trump’s consistent attendance at UFC events, the connections run deep. While the original plan was for this memorable event to be held on July 4th, adjustments were made due to some logistical challenges, pushing it to June.
